Taymar Roman

A senior at Rochester Prep High School, Taymar has been accepted to the University of Rochester for the Fall of 2024 to study psychology. Taymar is president of Rochester Prep’s Model United Nations, the driving force behind the school’s Hispanic Heritage Month, and a first-generation college student in her family. Smart, driven, and bold, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for Taymar.

Angel Pagan

Angel Pagan has committed to Rochester Institute of Technology in pursuit of law. Angel has always dreamed of becoming a lawyer to help bring people justice, advocate for those in need, and be a champion of justice. The dream came from working with lawyers in his past while finding his forever home. Angel aims to become a law firm partner, and maybe someday work his way up to an appointed judge.

La’Naija Crowder 

La’Naija will begin school at Canisius University in Buffalo, New York for nursing. For her, being a nurse means protecting, fighting, and caring for innocent people who need care. She has always cared for her community and her dream is to break generational challenges by becoming the successful woman we know she’ll be.

Shahi'd Pendelton

Shahi’d Pendelton continues his successful academic career at SUNY Buffalo State University in Fall 2024. Driven, curious, and passionate, he is drawn to the study of business administration and management with aspirations to establish his own real estate enterprise. We know the future holds something big for Shahi’d.

Rodney Smith

Having started his journey at Rochester Prep since Kindergarten, Rodney Smith has been aware and thrived towards the ultimate goal of college. Recently having been accepted into RIT, he prepares for the next stage in his life in which he will be able to combine his love for technology and learning into a career in Computer Science. Growing up he was always the person to turn to when facing tech issues, his face lighting up ready to solve any problem. By being a first generation college student, he wishes to break the mold for his family and be the inspiration for those that come after him.
